Sourcing & Wildcrafting Ethics
At Herbalism with Willow, I believe that herbalism is a relationship, not a resource grab. When we harvest from the wild, we are participating in a living cycle—one that deserves our gratitude and responsibility.
Here’s how I approach wildcrafting:
- 🌿 I never take more than I need—and I always leave plenty behind for pollinators, wildlife, and the plant’s continued growth.
- 🌼 I learn the status of plants in my region and never harvest endangered or threatened species.
- 🍂 I make offerings when I forage and take only from clean, safe areas far from pollution.
- 🪵 I strive to grow what I can at home or source from trusted, ethical growers.
Whether you’re gathering dandelions from your yard or nettles from a mountain trail, I invite you to treat each plant as a teacher, not a commodity.
This is herbalism rooted in respect.
